New Americans are invited to Join in the 2003 "Star Spangled Springfield" Celebration
The July fourth festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the "I Am An American" ceremony on the Springfield City Hall esplanade. Citizens who have been naturalized within the past 2 years are invited to re-enact their oath of citizenship during the event.
After the I Am an American Ceremony, Star Spangled Springfield activities will continue with a patriotic concert.
Following the concert at 9:30 p.m., the skies over the Memorial Bridge will come alive with a spectacular fireworks display from Fireworks by Grucci. ROCK102 will provide a musical simulcast of the fireworks program.
