They bring holiday cheer, lift spirits and get the audience singing-a-long during the free concert in Springfield Symphony Hall.

- [City of Bright Nights Ball](https://www.spiritofspringfield.org/events/city-of-bright-nights-ball): The City of Bright Nights Ball is the Spirit of Springfield's largest annual fundraiser.  The elegantly themed black-tie only gala includes a gourmet dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle.

- [Star Spangled Springfield](https://www.spiritofspringfield.org/events/star-spangled-springfield): Star Spangled Springfield celebrates Independence Day with family-friendly entertainment and a dazzling fireworks display.  The activities are held in Riverfront Park.  The fireworks are displayed from the Memorial Bridge and can been seen for miles and the music can be heard on Mix 93.1FM.

- [Holiday Lights](https://www.spiritofspringfield.org/events/holiday-lights): Springfield has earned the reputation of being the City of Bright Nights.  During the holiday season there are more than 675,000 lights that create Bright Nights at Forest Park, the Northeast's premier holiday lighting experience.  There are even more lights in Downtown Springfield and on several businesses in Springfield.

- [Parade of Big Balloons](https://www.spiritofspringfield.org/events/parade-of-big-balloons): Since 1991, the Spirit of Springfield has helped welcome Santa Claus to town with Springfield’s own 75-foot inflatable “Cat in the Hat”, a few of his inflatable friends, bands and colorful contingents. At 11AM on the day after Thanksgiving, they promenade down Main Street, entertaining crowds estimated at 70,000.

- [September 11th Ceremony](https://www.spiritofspringfield.org/events/september-11th-ceremony): To honor the fallen firefighters, police officers, EMT's and members of the armed services, the Springfield Fire and Emergency Services and Springfield Police Department will hold the September 11th Remembrance Ceremony on September 10th at 6pm in front of Springfield's September 11th Monument in Riverfront Park.
